Vertex Diagnostics announced today that UltraTRAK blood glucose monitoring system is now being distributed in over 20 states - including New York, California, Illinois, Texas, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Florida, Connecticut, and Michigan.

Vertex Diagnostics has received Alternate Site Testing approval for the UltraTRAK blood glucose monitoring system, allowing testing on the palms, forearms, upper arms, calves, thighs with equivalent results to fingertip testing.

Vertex Diagnostics has inaugurated a Long-Term Care Consultative Board to assist with the conceptualization of new product launches developed for the long-term care industry. The Consultative Board consists of five individuals with extensive experience in the healthcare field, and will meet on a quarterly basis with the Vertex Diagnostics team.
